Painting, Design, Illustration & Art Direction: Chris Hoenigmann

Finished my first painting in a long time - acrylic on 36 x 48in canvas - it took about 3 weeks start to finish. I orignally sketched out the concept on an eight hour flight from Italy to NY using the Sketchbook App on my iPad. The inspiration for the robot actually came from the seat-back tray table in front of me. I guess after staring at it for so long it started to look like a sad robot.
