GlamourGals Brand Style Guide & Media Kit In Progress(2011)
Brand Style Design & Art Direction: Chris Hoenigmann
Set to release in early 2012, we've been hard at work on GlamourGals new Brand and Media Kit. We developed a new logo with a clear message and meaning:
To accompany the logo, we developed the tagline "more than makeup and manicures". We feel this simple line communicates what the organization does, and lets the reader know there's more to it.
About the logo mark from the Brand Guide: Our logo portrays the spirit of GlamourGals with an infinite cycle of hand-drawn pink circles. The circles symbolize the “give and get back” our organization offers to both teens and seniors. Each circle represents a relationship or an experience between a teen and a senior. It’s energetic and youthful yet classic and timeless. It doesn’t try to do too much and the simple, thin, circular lines work beautifully with our word mark and font. The subtle varying hues of pink give it a touch of depth and movement.
In April of 2011 we set out to redesign the media kit on the left: the result is what you see on the right. After speaking with Rachel Doyle, President and Founder of GlamourGals we decided to take a step back and define the organization's brand style before going forward with the media kit.
As the Brand Guide started taking shape (logo, color pallet, graphic elements below) we began to apply them to the Media Kit - and the results have been fantastic. Below are some before (left) and after (right) samples of the pages.

We also added some much needed organization with a clear architecture, table of contents, and cover pages for each section:
